Co-ed junior boarding and day school for students in pre-kindergarten through grade nine

Parents Association

The IMS Parents Association (PA) exists to foster a sense of community and help parents be involved with the school. All parents of current IMS students are members of the Parents Association. There are several ways parents may become involved with the school. Many of these opportunities are initiated and organized by the Parents Association and the IMS Development Office.
President: Cynthia LaPier P'22
Vice President and Secretary:  Ani Shaker P'20 '16
Vice President of Grades 5 - 6: Leora Armstrong P'20 '23
Vice President of Grades 7 - 9: Kassie Alnwick P'21

Parents from each grade are selected to function as liaisons between their respective class, the school, and the parent body. The role of the parent grade representative is to support the IMS community by contacting parents by grade level and recruiting volunteers to support specific IMS and PA events.

The PA sponsors and supports fundraising activities and welcomes involvement of all parents.

Volunteering at IMS

The parent body of IMS has a tradition of volunteering that lends invaluable support to the school. Below are several ways you can help IMS with your involvement:

Attend monthly Parents Association meetings
Become a Grade Representative
Join the 8th and 9th grade formal committee
Volunteer at our Friday Cafe in the Student Center

To volunteer, or for more information, please contact Cynthia La Pier, PA President at 413-229-0180 or via email
