  • 5th GRADE TEACHER

    Indian Mountain is seeking a 5th grade teacher, qualified to teach English, social studies and science. This is a one-year position, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will be a student advisor, assist or direct drama productions, coach multiple seasons, live on campus, and/or work as part of the residential life faculty.

  • 6th GRADE SCIENCE TEACHER (PART-TIME)

    Indian Mountain is seeking a part-time 6th grade science teacher. In addition to these teaching responsibilities, the ideal candidate will be a student advisor, coach, and possibly work as part of the residential life faculty.

  • COUNSELOR

    Indian Mountain School, an independent boarding/day school grades Pre-K-9, seeks a full-time counselor to work in the school's Student Health and Wellness department, Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
     
    • Providing individual counseling and psych-educational group work to students.
    • Being a liaison with outside clinicians, parents, and schools when necessary.
    • Helping to find appropriate clinicians in the community.
    • Attending weekly student support and medical meetings and assess students' needs for counseling.
    • Maintaining records on all students in treatment inclusive of session notes, assessments and recommendations.
    • Being available for dorm parents and teachers during school and evening hours for consultation about students as well as for assessment in times of crisis.
    • Conducting internal investigations when necessary to assure the safety of students and professional conduct of faculty and staff.
    The ideal candidate will be licensed and have a master’s degree in the field (MSW, MA, or equivalent) and five years or more experience, particularly in a boarding school setting, is preferred.

  • MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER

    Indian Mountain is seeking qualified candidates for an opening as a Middle School (grades 5/6) teacher. In addition to these teaching responsibilities, the ideal candidate will be a student advisor, coach multiple seasons, and will work as a part of the residential life faculty.

  • PER DIEM RN NURSES

    Indian Mountain School is seeking interested RN nurses who would be available for per diem work during day-time hours Monday-Saturday for the school year. Per diem nurses would be called to fill in on an "as needed basis" due to absences on the nursing staff.
     
    Ideal candidates should possess strong patient care assessment, critical thinking, communication and computer skills and function as a team member. A CT Licensure is required. School health experience optimal, but not essential.
