Fundraising

At Indian Mountain, fundraising is essential to fulfilling our mission of promoting moral growth and personal academic excellence. An IMS education is funded not only by tuition, but also by contributions from family, friends, and alumni.  Gifts to IMS can be unrestricted or restricted.

  • The Annual Fund (Unrestricted Giving) (July 1 - June 30)

Aside from tuition, the Annual Fund is the most important source of income for the school.  Each year, we will reach out to our parents, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, and friends, and ask that they make a contribution to our Annual Fund. The money raised through the Annual Fund goes directly into our annual operating budget. Every gift matters, and we aim for 100% participation each year.
  • Capital Giving (Restricted Giving)

Depending on the needs of the school, we sometimes encourage gifts toward building projects, facilities renovations, and program enhancements. We recently completed a Capital Campaign that allowed us to build a Student Center and a girls dormitory.
  • Gifts to our Endowment (Restricted Giving)

Gifts to our Endowment support the long term prosperity of the school.
Our Board of Trustees has directed the endowment growth to be used primarily to increase faculty salaries, to offer additional student financial aid, and to maintain the school’s facilities.
