Ariel Bush grew up in neighboring Great Barrington, MA, always wanting to be a teacher. She attended Indian Mountain School, beginning in kindergarten at, what is now, the IMS Lower Campus. She remained at IMS through 9th grade, after which she stayed in Lakeville and attended The Hotchkiss School. In college, she studied Classical Languages (Latin and Ancient Greek), English, and Religious Studies at Connecticut College, earning her B.A. in 2016. While in college, Ariel studied abroad in Rome, Italy, furthering her interest in Classics and passion for travel. After graduating, she worked as a private tutor in Rochester, NY for several families with children across all age levels. While always having a passion for teaching, working as a tutor allowed her to further her love for academia. Having now taught for one year at IMS, Ariel is excited to be stepping into her new role as a 8th grade English teacher.

In her free time, Ariel loves reading, writing, and nature walks. She is thrilled to now be teaching at the school which previously supplied her so much comfort and love for so many years.
