Montserrat Program

The IMS Montserrat Sustainability Program is a ten-day experience for ninth grade students with a demonstrated interest in sustainability.

Led by IMS faculty members, the program is coordinated through the Bard College at Simon’s Rock and makes use of their field station and residential facility. Activities include field trips across the island, guest speakers, community service projects, research projects, presentations, and outdoor activities. Academic time is dedicated to maintaining students’ IMS coursework and to the first stage of the ninth grade Poquonook Solutions Project (SDG’s).
