Faculty Opportunities

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of children’s academic, social, and emotional development. A master’s degree in social work is required and a minimum of two years counseling or related experience is preferred.

Indian Mountain School is currently accepting applications for full-time Upper Campus (Grade 5-9) teachers for the 2022-2023 academic year. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of children’s academic, social, and emotional development. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is required, and a minimum of two years teaching or related experience is preferred. Full-time Upper Campus positions also include responsibilities in the athletics and residential life divisions. On-campus housing may be available for interested candidates.

Indian Mountain School is seeking part-time academic tutors at our Grades 5-9 Campus. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of children’s academic, social, and emotional development, with experience specifically from a variety of learning backgrounds. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is required, and a minimum of two years teaching, tutoring, or related experience is preferred. Send resume and cover letter to Alex Hodosy.

Indian Mountain School seeks a Human Relationships and Sexuality teacher for the 2022-2023 academic year. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of children’s academic, social, and emotional development and will have experience as a health and wellness or life skills teacher. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is required, and a minimum of two years teaching or related experience is preferred. This is a part-time employment opportunity.

Coaching Opportunities

Indian Mountain School seeks qualified athletics team coaches in a variety of sports for its grades 5-9 Upper Campus Athletic Program. Coaches report to the Director of Athletics and work with a co-coach or head coach. We are currently seeking coaches for the Winter and Spring seasons.

Coaching philosophies that support team growth and sportspersonship are required. Athletic and/or coaching backgrounds in hockey, swimming, skiing, and lacrosse are helpful, but not required, as is a Connecticut Public Service License endorsement.

Staff Opportunities

Indian Mountain School seeks part-time RN nurses during day-time hours Monday-Saturday for the school year, as well as be available to be called to fill in on an “as-needed basis” due to absences on the nursing staff.

Ideal candidates should possess strong patient care assessment, critical thinking, communication and computer skills and function as a team member. A CT Licensure is required. School health experience optimal, but not essential.
