Indian Mountain School Giving

Thanks to the generous donations from alumni, parents, and friends, Indian Mountain School continues to thrive. Your support allows us to fund the programs, operations and growth that make IMS extraordinary.

Why Support IMS?

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is vital to daily operations and supplements the school’s annual operating budget. Gifts to the Annual Fund are unrestricted, allowing the school to direct funds to the areas of greatest need, such as professional development, financial aid, or campus facilities. Tuition does not cover the full cost to educate IMS students, and as such, the Annual Fund provides 7% of our yearly operating budget. The success of our Annual Fund depends on the collective generosity of our alumni, parents, and friends of the school. Every gift we receive, no matter the size, helps to advance the school’s mission.

Every gift to the Annual Fund directly impacts our students’ experience. We are deeply grateful to all alumni, families, and friends who help to advance our mission through their support of the Annual Fund each year.

Capital Giving

For almost 100 years, our faculty and students have worked together, diligently and passionately, to ensure that IMS is a center of living and learning. Capital gifts from alumni, parents, and friends ensure a strong endowment, help to maintain and improve campus infrastructure, and provide the school with the critical resources to provide a robust and transformative experience for our students.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts to IMS include bequests, life income vehicles, and deferred gifts. The Pearson Society honors those who have chosen to support the vision and mission of Indian Mountain School by including the school in their estate plans. The Pearson Society is named for Roger E. Pearson, a member of the Class of 1934 who died in 1994 and left a significant bequest to support the future of IMS. For information about how you can support IMS through planned giving opportunities, please contact Sarah Smith, Director of Advancement.
