IMS varsity baseball visited Trinity Pawling on Wednesday where they faced and defeated the Lions’ thirds squad.  From the onset of the game, IMS dominated at the plate and from the mound.  They yielded only three runs after four innings of play and put forth an impressive nineteen runs of offense.

Henry’s pinpoint control at the mound aided him in retiring the top of Trinity’s lineup in the first and third innings.  He recorded a number of strikeouts as he kept his opponents off balance with well-placed fastballs.  Colin relieved Henry in the fourth inning.  Once he exercised control on his fastball, he was able to retire the last three batters of the game.

At the plate, the Falcons earned nineteen runs by capitalizing on errors in the field and consistently hitting hard line drives and ground balls.  John contributed a double and Chris a ground-rule double, helping to lead IMS to this one-sided victory.
