The Indian Mountain junior varsity lacrosse team played a competitive game Friday against Trinity Pawling. IMS did a good job controlling the ball early in the match, but TP took a hard shot from outside and got a 1-0 lead in the first quarter.  Ernesto came in as goalie in the second quarter and played well.  He adjusted fast to shots on goal and made some good saves.  Although TP scored another goal toward the end of the half, the IMS boys continued to play good offense and defense.  Jack, Alvaro, and Daniel in particular played good, aggressive, offense and passed well.

John took over goal tending responsibilities for the second half of play and made a lot of crucial saves.  Kyle played good, smart offense, and Alvaro drove the ball in for a nice goal in the middle of the third quarter. The Falcons started strong and ended strong during the fourth quarter as Wes, Jack, and Ernesto took some nice shots, and Andres got a goal in to tie the game.  The boys passing was impressive throughout a second half that was driven by the intensity of both teams play, and the Indian Mountain coaches were proud of their team’s play.  TP also played hard until the end.

Indian Mountain next plays in a 7 v 7 tournament with Salisbury Youth Lacrosse on Saturday.
Go Falcons!
