Another great stretch for IMS Athletics as many of the programs continue to find success in the early weeks of May.

Varsity Girls Lacrosse led the way with a strong bounce back performance against Berkshire JV, defeating them 18-16 in a high scoring affair. They followed this victory with a win against Hotchkiss Thirds by a score of 12-6. Ellie Traggio led the team in scoring over the two-game stretch.

JV Boys Lacrosse remained undefeated for the season with victories over Mizzentop and Rumsey Hall, and Gavin Marr and Alex Marti helped pave the way on offense during the two games. Varsity Boys Lacrosse rebounded from a 7-10 defeat at the hands of Rumsey Hall by beating Renbrook 9-2, and Trinity-Pawling Thirds 12-4. Matt Brewer and Eli Widener split time in goal and held the opposing teams in check, while Henry Quaintance, Ethan Coleman, and Henry Hoyt led the team on offense.

The Tennis program continues to impress, as the JV and Varsity teams have posted a winning record since the start of May. JV Tennis defeated Washington Montessori in their most recent match, with all five of their doubles teams winning. Varsity Tennis also added a win with a 4-3 victory over Rumsey Hall. Joe Ota, Leo Li, and Ale Gonzales held down the middle of the ladder in route to a tight victory.

On the diamond, Varsity Baseball and Softball fell to Rumsey by a score of 5-12 and 5-16 respectively. JV Baseball is still looking for their first victory of the year but got a strong performance from Wade Barillaro on the mound despite losing 13-6 to Rudolph Steiner. Wade recorded 4 strikeouts and also scored 2 runs in the game.

With a little over two weeks left in the season, the Falcon teams are looking to finish on a strong note!
