Spring is here, and many of the Falcon teams enjoyed a positive start to the season.

The Varsity Girls Lacrosse team kicked off its season with a skills clinic hosted by Berkshire School. This was a great opportunity for the girls to learn from experienced players, as well as to pick up on new drills being utilized at the secondary school level. This opportunity paid dividends for the team early in the first week of games, beginning with a tough-fought loss to the Hotchkiss JV team, and a shutout against Miss Hall’s by a score of 17-0.

The Varsity Boys Lacrosse team stamped an early season victory in its home opener, beating Kent School Thirds by a score of 21-6. Ethan Coleman, Henry Hoyt, Nick Traggio, Sam Pagon, and Henry Quaintance all recorded hat tricks, and Matt Brewer played strong in net while adding a goal of his own. Junior Varsity Lacrosse opened the season with an 11-0 victory over Dutchess Day School, and a 9-3 victory over Mizzentop School.

The Tennis program has also found early season success. The Varsity Tennis team opened the season with a convincing victory over Hotchkiss JV-Girls, anchored by strong doubles play by Emily Grass and Wini Lindholm. In its second game of the season, Varsity Tennis fell to a strong Renbrook team by a score of 3-4, but accumulated a number of highlights in the process. Ale Gonzalez stormed back from a 4-1 deficit to win 7-5, and Alana Adams and Wini Lindholm won their doubles match with ease by a score of 6-2. Junior Varsity Tennis is off to a 2-0 start and recently beat Kildonan School by a score of 7-0.

Varsity Baseball defeated cross-town rivals Salisbury Central 18-0 in the season opener, and Softball edged out Renbrook 16-15 in a nail-biter.

Golf also won its first match with Housatonic Valley Regional winning all four of their individual match ups.

Congratulations on a wonderful first week of athletics!
