The junior varsity girls played their best game of the season on Friday as they took on Rumsey for the second time this winter.  The Falcons were much more aggressive: forcing many jump balls, attack the basket, and fighting for loose balls.  Jinny stood out on the defensive end of the floor.  She pulled down a number of defensive rebounds and was responsible for forcing many of the jump balls.  Coach Bonk was very happy with the girls play on defense and was impressed they were able to hold the talented Rumsey squad to only 31 total points.  She was also impressed by the IMS girls drive on offense.  It was the highest scoring game of the season for IMS.  The team was able to get many offensive rebounds, and Izzy scored 4 points on second chance shots.  June also scored 4 points, 2 at the foul line, while Jinny and Zoe each scored 2 points.  Coach Bonk will work with the girls on maintaining better ball control before their next game, but she felt the team showed a lot more spark today than in their previous outing.  It was a successful game for the Falcon girls.
