Varsity girls lacrosse played at Millbrook on Friday and lost with a game score of 13-8. The score at the half was 10-5, meaning that the Falcons only allowed in as many goals during the second half as they scored against Millbrook.

Part of the reason the second half was better was increased hustle on the part of the IMS defense, who started off slowly in the first half. Frankie helped pick up some of that slack by using her speed to get in front of Millbrook offenders. Two of our goals were scored off of direct free positions; these goals were scored by Courtney and Sophie. Devon had four shots on the Millbrook goalie, one of which was a goal for IMS. Other goals were scored by Eloise (2) and Morgan (3).

Morgan worked hard as the IMS center for most of the game. Her efforts against a much taller Millbrook center showed remarkable pluck and perseverance. Other excellent efforts were made by Talia, who had one assist, Eloise, who led the team with ground ball control, and Tess, who had eight saves in the first half and two saves in the second.

IMS will play their next game on Wednesday, April 21, against Renbrook.
