Varsity girls lacrosse played at home against Kent on Saturday and lost with a final score of 12-11. It was a disappointing loss for the IMS squad considering the Falcons had the lead at halftime with a score of 7-5. Unfortunately, IMS lost this lead early in the second half and were outscored by five points rather quickly. After recovering their focus, IMS attackers scored four goals to Kent’s two during the final quarter of the game.

Devon, Sophie, and Morgan each had two shots on goal that were unsuccessful, but Sophie had two goals on free position shots. Our other goals were scored by Devon (3), Morgan (3), and Eloise (3). Devon also had two assists. Courtney, Grace, and Lila each had one assist.

On defense, Frankie had an interception, while Haley once again led the team with ground ball control. The Falcons were not effective on draw control, but Grace, Eloise, and Morgan each got control of the ball on a draw one time. Lila had her best game of the season, and Molly, Frankie, and Grace all played well at defense.

The varsity girls next game will be played on Wednesday, April 28, at Miss Halls School.
