Although the final score was lopsided, the Falcon girls tried their best and stayed positive while losing to a much taller and older Ethel Walker team on Wednesday.  The IMS girls had fun together and worked to improve aspects of their game. Scores were few but noteworthy.  Jimmy scored a point by making a foul shot in the first quarter to give Indian Mountain their first points of the game.  Lucie made a basket from eight feet away in the second quarter, Izzy scored on a foul shot also in the second, and June hit a nice shot in the fourth quarter.

On defense the team struggled, but June was able to be aggressive and pull down several rebounds by boxing out the taller Ethel Walker girls.  Indian Mountain committed no fouls during the entire game, and Coach Bonk will work to teach the team the benefit of committing fouls strategically during appropriate moments of games.  She commends the girls on handling the difficult loss so well and is looking forward to practice on Thursday.

The girls play their next game against Rumsey on Friday.
