Each year, the IMS community comes together for Pink Week, which was held this year from October 8-12, to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The week is marked by the sale of pink items, such as ribbons, keychains, and socks. It culminated on both campuses with Pink Dress Day when students and faculty attended school in dress code adorned with pink clothing items and accessories. The day also included a number of activities and initiatives, all of which supported the Jane Lloyd Fund to directly help families in our local community who are affected by cancer-related issues.

On the Upper Campus, athletic games were accented by pink socks, wristbands, and headbands. Our food sale successfully raised funds to support the cause. Community Service Co-Chair Sheryl Knapp extended her thanks to “everyone who helped by making food for the bake sale, who donated money, or purchased pink ribbons and other pink items.”

Our Community Service Group is currently counting donations for the Jane Lloyd Fund and the tally will be announced at an upcoming morning meeting.
