On Saturday night, the IMS community gathered to celebrate the start of the Lunar New Year, a holiday rich in culture and tradition and observed by millions of people around the world.

As families, friends, and guests arrived on the Upper Campus Saturday evening, red and gold lanterns cast their glow through the Front Circle windows. The school was decorated beautifully — and to the hilt — thanks to the generosity of Trustee Limin Kong P’23 and the Chinese Parents Association. The festivities began with a feast of traditional dishes for the entire community. Performances followed: poetry, music, and martial arts from talented IMS students, as well as a guest appearance by professional musicians Dr. Zhu and the WeStar Band, including a stunning performance by renowned erhu virtuoso Yimiao Chen. All in all, it was a magical night and a wonderful way to begin the Year of the Rabbit!

We wish everyone a year filled with good fortune and prosperity.
