Despite another stellar performance from Alex in the goal, the junior varsity girls soccer team lost at home against Berkshire Country Day School on Friday, 4-1.  The Falcon midfield made several strong surges to push the ball into the offensive end, but most of their attempts were stymied by a stout BCD defense.  One Falcon offensive surge did result in the team’s only goal of the game, and the team’s shot on goal ratio remains above ninety percent for the season.

Defensively the Falcons did a good job clearing the center, and were a bit better about transitioning the ball forward from the backfield into an offensive attack than they were in their previous contest.  Coach Stewart was general pleased by the girls’ performance as they weathered the searing temperatures and fought valiantly for position throughout the game.

The JV girls will play their next game against Washington Montessori on Wednesday, September 29, at IMS.
