Indian Mountain School varsity boys’ basketball had a great first win against the Kent School on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.  Being down by five at the half, the team stormed back to take a five point lead with 1:15 remaining. The comeback was led by Alex, Chris, and Khaleel, who scored all of IMS’s points in the second half. Two late baskets by Kent narrowed IMS’s lead to one point, but the team was able to hang on for a hard-fought victory.

Even with Kent being the larger team, the Falcons played solid man-to-man defense. Led by Sherman, Eli, and Khaleel, IMS held Kent to four points for the first 14:30 of the second half.  Chris B. (eight points), Khaleel and Alex (Chong) with six points a piece, were the top scorers for the Falcons.

Coach Tom Pastore said, “It was a great way to start the season.  I’m excited to see what we can do with the games to come.”

The Falcons will head to Salisbury for their next game on January 4 at 4:00 p.m.
