We mix projects that provide instant satisfaction with those that require patience and focus. Your child will leave our program having been exposed to contemporary and historical artists in varied disciplines. He/she will be primed and ready to create, dream, visualize art, and conjure up projects from all you expose them to in summer.

Circus Camp with BerkCirque (New!)

Instructor: Jill Flemming
Program Fee: $450.00 per week

Session 1: June 8-12, 9am-3pm
Session 2: June 15-19, 9am-3pm

Each day begins at 9 am with a friendly greeting, a vigorous warm-up, and a game. Campers improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, body positivity and confidence as they rotate through a series of circus learning stations. They practice and explore balancing skills (tight wire, unicycling, stilt walking, rolling globes, spooner and balance boards) juggling (feathers, plates, diablo, devil sticks, bean bags & balls) tumbling, and theatrical clowning.

Campers discover and practice new skills in a fun and supportive environment. All participants have an opportunity to choose an area of interest on which to focus and improve as they work toward accomplishing specific goals. Everyone works individually, in pairs, small groups, and as an entire circus community.

1-week camp sessions are designed for learning basics and further developing specific circus skills. 2-week camps are for more intensive training and culminate in a short circus presentation finale where the campers share their excitement and joy of specialty skills!
