Beth Craig has an M.A. degree in performance from Kent State University in Ohio and a B.S. in music from Mannes College, studying with Claus Adam of the Juilliard String Quartet. Symphony positions have been with the Orquestra Sinfonica of the state of São Paulo, Brazil, as well as the Florida Gulf Coast Symphony, and the Akron and Canton Symphonies in Ohio. In the Berkshires area, she has taught at the Berkshire Music School, Barrington Steiner School, and Miss Hall’s, among others. Composition studies were with Joan Tower at Bard College. An interest in playing romantic jazz standards has been developing for many years, and she now performs with her Cello Piano Jazz Duo in various venues locally. She enjoys teaching piano to both Lower and Upper Campus students.
