Supporting Athletics and Community Life
Thanks to generous donor support, in 2020 IMS built six new tennis courts on the southside of the Upper Campus. The new tennis courts are a welcome addition, both for athletic and student life programming.
Alex Hodosy, Dean of Faculty and Head Varsity Tennis Coach, reflects on the value the tennis courts have already provided in the last year. “In a time where outdoor recreation is a top priority, the new courts have already seen plenty of use. Driving by on any weekend or evening, you will see groups of IMS students out on the courts laughing, hitting balls, and enjoying the fresh air.”
With six new “U.S. Open” blue and green courts at our disposal, a hallmark IMS athletic program now has the expanded ability to host practices, games, and tournaments. Tennis is perennially one of the school’s most popular sports, and it is now able to accommodate our competitive tennis program.
Courage means something different to each student. Learn how it’s shaping the collective IMS experience now and in years to come.
