On Friday the varsity boys lacrosse team traveled to Pomfret for the annual Indian Mountain tilt with the Rectory School. After a long drive, the boys were slow to get going and quickly found themselves down by a few goals. During the second quarter, the Falcons were able to hold their own against the skilled and physical Rectory team, but Indian Mountain commited too many penalties in the second half of play, and the IMS defense could not keep Rectory attackers from the net. Falcon attackers did take advantage of a man-up situation when Joey scored a nice goal on a feed from Aidan. The goal represented Indian Mountain’s tally for the day, and the team ended the day on the loosing end of a 9-1 score.

A few standout players were Ben and Daniel on defense, midfielders Issey, Andrew and Troy, and attackers Aidan and Duncan. Spencer and Daniel also played well in goal.  Both players are making strides learning the fundamental skills to become quality goal tenders.

Following the game, the Falcons enjoyed an excellent feast at Five Guys before making their way back to campus.
The team plays their next game on Friday against Millbrook.  Good luck Falcons!
