On Friday the IMS cross country team competed in a dual meet against Milbrook School and Dutchess Day School. The Falcon Harriers, coming off a sweep in their previous dual meet, took to the starting line of the 2.4 miles course determined to continue their winning ways, and the runners from Lakeville, Connecticut did not disappoint. In convincing fashion, the Falcons swept the meet, defeating Millbrook School 19-44 and Dutchess Day School 17-44, going to 8 wins and 1 loss on the season.

Andrew Spiegel continued his winning ways beating his closest competitor by over 30 seconds. Andrew placed first in the field of 47 runners with a time of 14:20 (5:58 mile pace). Sam Humes took third in 15:05 (mile pace of 6:17) and Nate Smith fourth with a time of 15:20 (mile pace of 6:23). Jack Gottsegen took fifth overall in 15:25 (mile pace of 6:25) and Walter Krissel placed eighth overall in a time of 16:40 (mile pace of 6:56) to round out the top five boy finishers for IMS.

On the girls side Annabelle Burns led the way, placing ninth overall and the first female runner to cross the finish line in a time of 16:41 (mile pace of 6:57), nearly two minutes over the second female finisher. Bea Kiggens (20th–third female finisher) with a time of 18:44 (mile pace of 7:48), Fiona Logan Sankey was the fourth girl finisher in 18:50 (mile pace of 7:50), Morgen Ingerson was the sixth overall girl runner in a time of 19:24 (mile pace of 8:05), followed by Raphaella Pope in 19:25 (mile pace of 8:05).

Great job to all runners for successfully completing the hilly and quite challenging 2.4 mile course. The Falcon harriers host Rumsey on Friday.
