Gabriele earned a B.A. in English from Syracuse University and an M.A. in Magazine Journalism from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She worked as a children’s magazine editor and a freelance language arts writer and editor for over 30 years and is the author of two picture books: Peaches (Abrams Books for Young Readers) and Our Joyful Noise (Atheneum/Simon & Schuster). Gabriele enjoys helping IMS students develop into confident writers. In her free time, she reads, writes, bikes, bakes and spends time with family.
