Craig joined the Indian Mountain community after spending many years living as an artist in New York City. He was educated at Alfred University where he studied wood and metal sculpture, and at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan as a film major. After college, Craig began working as a set designer for television and fashion editorials, which led him to pursue work in the film industry. Becoming a member of the International Cinematographers Guild allowed Craig to work behind the camera on dozens of films in New York and Los Angeles, and helped guide him to utilize his set building skills to later work in the industry as an artistic director, which he continues during the summer months. Craig enjoys spending time as a sculptor, carpenter, filmmaker, gardener, and hockey player. He lives on campus where he is the dorm head of Stockton, yearbook advisor, hockey coach, and woodcarving and theater set design teacher.
