Geoff Perkins has been involved in independent school education for over 25 years, a majority of it spent teaching middle school-aged students in math. He received his Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Virginia, and has attended various math workshops, including the week-long intensive program at Dana Hall School in Wellesley, MA. He worked at Saint Thomas Choir School, a boarding school for boys in New York City, in the late ’90s before moving to the Berkshires
and getting married. For the past 16 years, he has been a math teacher, coach, and advisor at Berkshire Country Day School in Stockbridge, MA. He is the father of three children, twins Gabriel and Olivia, and his youngest son, Aidan is an IMS student. His wife Carmen is a member of the faculty at The Hotchkiss School. In his free time, he loves being outdoors with his family playing tennis, riding bikes, and hiking.
