Geoff Perkins has been involved in independent school education for over 25 years, a majority of it spent teaching middle school-aged students in math. He received his Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Virginia, and has attended various math workshops, including the week-long intensive program at Dana Hall School in Wellesley, MA. He worked at Saint Thomas Choir School, a boarding school for boys in New York City, in the late ’90s before moving to the Berkshires
and getting married. For the past 16 years, he has been a math teacher, coach, and advisor at Berkshire Country Day School in Stockbridge, MA. He is the father of three children, twins Gabriel and Olivia, and his youngest son, Aidan is a IMS student. His wife Carmen is a member of the faculty at The Hotchkiss School. In his free time he loves being outdoors with his family playing tennis, riding bikes, and hiking.
