With nearly 30 years in education, Jessie has worked as a reading and learning specialist, a faculty coach, and a lower school classroom teacher. She was the founder of a private tutoring and consulting business in New York City, working with children with learning disabilities, and with schools and parents to best support the needs of diverse learners. Jessie holds a Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy Education from Bank Street College of Education, and is trained in a range of Orton Gillingham-based, multisensory reading intervention programs. Most recently, Jessie worked at Rumsey Hall as a learning specialist for both lower and upper campuses, and as the liaison to new faculty. Her family lives in Goshen, CT, and her son attends The Berkshire School.
