Alex Weyerhaeuser is IMS’ Associate Director of Sustainability and teaches 9th grade Applied Biology and English. She grew up in Cambridge, MA, and earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies and a certificate in Education Studies from Yale University in 2020. After college, Ms. Weyerhaeuser moved to Chicago, where she worked for a non-profit focused on sustainable food and agriculture. She then returned to graduate school and recently received a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment, where she became increasingly interested in the intersection between science and humanities. She lives on campus in Stockton Dorm, coaches Cross Country, manages the Campus Garden, and is a 7th grade advisor. In her free time, she loves to run, teach yoga, read, write, and cook.
