Last week, we welcomed new faculty and staff to campus. As a way to immerse them in the Indian Mountain School experience, we sent them to the ropes course to “break the ice” and learn firsthand how important team building and leadership training are to our Outdoor Adventure and Education program. Ethan Harris, the director of our outdoor program, facilitated a day-long orientation that brought our newest community members together with our administrative team for a trek up our beloved mountain and lots of fun.

Our beautiful, 600-acre campus provides unique opportunities for experiential learning, outdoor play, and personal growth. At every opportunity, we integrate our curriculum with our natural resources in order to develop students’ critical thinking and curiosity, as well as physical health and well-being.

When members of our community participates in our outdoor adventure and education program, they are engaging in an activity that promotes healthy stress relief, team building, creative problem solving, and personal development.
