Despite the significant age difference between the girls from Hotchkiss and the athletes from Indian Mountain on Friday, the matchup proved to be one of the better pairings of the IMS junior varsity girls’ season, and the girls played very well.  The match was one of the team’s top games offensively as the Falcons controlled the ball well up front despite struggling to score.  The JV girls also demonstrated an improved ability to clear the ball out of the backfield, which is a skill they worked to hone in practice Thursday.

The Falcons’ top performers were Za and Heidi.  The two worked together very well at right halfback and right wing respectively, and IMS coaches are hoping they will continue to dominate play on their side of the field.

The JV girls play their next game on Wednesday, October 27, away at Washington Montessori.
