Great passing and team defense led the varsity girls’ basketball team to victory over Millbrook on Friday.  Despite missing two key role players off the bench, the IMS girls were able to fill the gaps and support each other to stay fresh and keep their attack sharp.  Steals and good defensive coverage were predominant, especially in the second half as the girls fought to close out the game.  Jenna led all scorers with 12 points, while Kimmie scored 8.  Both Mia and Lulu contributed 4 points.  Despite being sick, Lulu came off the bench and did a fantastic job covering one of Millbrook’s best players, an effort that imspired many of her teammates.  Coaches Barillaro and Bliss were delighted by the girls intensity and teamwork.

The girls play their final game of the season next Friday at Hotchkiss.  Go Falcons!
