The athletes of the IMS volleyball team maintained their composure and displayed admirable class, sportmanship, and teamwork in the diffiucult environment of the gym at Rumsey to earn their second victory of the season.  The girls communicated excellently throughout the match; communication that included enthusiastic cheering from the bench and excellent leadership by the team’s captains.

On the court, the girls really came alive during the last set, displaying the type of alignment and chemistry their coaches have been hoping will bring them together.  Excellent individual performances wer made by a number of athletes.  Avian earned points using the overhand serve she has been working diligently to learn during practices, Yu Jin contributed several consecutive points on serve throughout the match while also executing three digs to keep the ball alive, and Jenna had a successful dink, something she had been working on in practice.

The girls look to improve their record further when they play Hotchkiss next Wednesday.
