The IMS junior varsity lacrosse team played two 7 v 7 games against Salisbury Youth Lacrosse on Friday.  The Falcon “B” team won the first game 7-2, while the Falcon “A” team tied the Lakers, 4-4.

In the first half of the “B” game the IMS players came out strong agains the soild Laker team.  Daniel scored two nice goals in the first half, Andres also scored.  Jake played goal for the first time this season during the game, and he did a great job.  The boys demonstrated improved ground skills by scooping well and converting those plays to making quick passes and toward executing crisp breaks to the goal.

The “B” squad dominated play during the second half.  Jake continued to play well in goal; moreover, the offense really clicked with Daniel, Alvaro, and Jack scoring goals.  Wes also showed some great moves around the net, while the defense limited the Lakers to two goals during the entire game.  It was am impressive performance.

During the second game, the boys moved the ball really well, and Alvaro stepped in at goal.   Duncan made am impact by controlling the ball and moving it up field.  The Lakers were able to score two goals in the first half, but Will was able to limit their lead to one goal when he used smart and conservative playing to score an IMS goal toward the end of the half.

The Lakers goalies played especially throughout the game, but IMS was able to capitalize on some holes in the Laker defense to get close to the goal and make some shots count.  Emmitt did really well bringing the ball up the field, and both Wyatt and Jake played good defense.

The Lakers scored two more times in the second half, yet Will and Jan continued to play well together on offense with Will completing a nice pass to Jan for a goal, and Jan executing a give and go with Will for a goal.  Duncan also scored on a great shot to tie up the game.

The IMS players and coaches thank their supporters for attending the game.  It was a great day for lacrosse and a wonderful way to end the season.
