The junior varsity girls lacrosse team fought hard on Wednesday in their match against Mizzentop.  The determined Falcon athletes put in a great effort to score four goals in the game and maintain a competitive edge. Although the final score was weighted more heavily in Mizzentop’s favor, the Falcons gave them a run for their money, displaying fantastic teamwork and spirit throughout the game.

IMS began the game strongly with two goals scored by Maggie in the first seven minutes, and Catherine had three key saves as goalie in the first half. During the second half, the more experienced Mizzentop team took advantage of every opportunity and was able to beat IMS’s defense to score several goal in rapid succession. Despite the repeated Mizzentop attack, Abby displayed excellent poise in the net and recorded six saves as goalie during the second half.

High points for IMS in the second half were the two consecutive draw controls for Andrea from which she scored impressively. Junior varsity lacrosse has their next game on April 30 away against Dutchess Day School. Good luck Falcons!
