On Friday, January 15, the IMS varsity hockey team, rebounding from a tough loss in their first game, took to the ice for the second time this year to face the Pride of Trinity Pawling School. A competetive game from the start, both teams battled from the drop of the puck until the final buzzer in the third. Trinity Pawling jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, only to have the Falcons tie the score after a goal by forward Aidan. The contest saw numerous opportunities for both teams at either end of the ice. Indian Mountain netminder, Spencer, played outstanding hockey and turned aside a bevy of shots against him to keep the Falcons in the game. Once again finding themselves down by a goal, IMS came out in the third period determined to give it their all. A spectacular end-to-end goal by ninth grader Jack R. knotted the score up at two with only a few short minutes to go in the game. Indian Mountain was awarded a power play as the clock wound down, and they found themselves with an opportuniuty to win the game. The chances were there, but the TP goaltender and penalty killers remained strong, and the contest ended in a well deserved and hard fought tie for both teams.

Indian Mountain players look forward to their next contest on Friday, January 29, at Millbrook.
