The Falcon girls varsity lacrosse team played Chase Collegiate school in their home opener on Friday and won, 13-3. The IMS girls started off strong, scoring first and early in the first half. Due in part to the aggressive play and exquisite speed of the Falcon center, Eloise (who returned to the game this year after a three year hiatus from the sport), the Indian Mountain offense dominated and scored six more points in the first half. Eloise also excelled at ground ball control. The IMS goalie, Tess, played quite an offensive game, coming out of the cage several times to run the ball up the field. In fact, she had an assist to a goal scored by Devon. Sophie worked hard throughout the game to lose her defender, and as a result she was open to receive several goalie clears.

Goals were scored by Devon (7), Eloise (3), Courtney (2), and Sophie (1). A remarkable game was also played by Haley at defense wing. She played smartly, patiently, and skillfully, demonstrating her depth of understanding of the game as well as her ability to read the field and make quick decisions.

The IMS varsity play their next game on Wednesday, April 14, away at Berkshire Country Day School.
Good luck Falcons!
