The Indian Mountain volleyball team lost their opening game against Oakwood Friends School on Wednesday despite good communication on the court and excellent leadership from the veteran athletes.  Both teams proved to be well matched, but Oakwood was able to win key points to earn the overall victory.

IMS enjoyed many notable peroformances.  Avian served seven points in a row and the team contributed several long hitting combinations whose execution bodes well for the teams upcoming performances in future games.  Jenna had several excellent digs returning Oakwood serves, while Kay joined Jenna in exhibiting strong leadership by putting forth a fantastic effort and remaining positive throughout the match.

The Falcon volleyball players will work to further hone their skills tomorrow before they travel to Taft for their second game of the season on Friday.
