Greeted by alumni and their past headmaster, the Indian Mountain School team entered Berkshire in high spirits.  As the game began, the girls rotated quickly in their zone and prevented a Berkshire basket for the first three minutes of play.  On the offensive end, IMS missed several scoring opportunities and began to fold under the pressure of Berkshire’s defense.  After Berkshire closed the half with three quick scores, IMS returned to the bench losing 9-3.

In the second half, the Falcons returned to the floor a new team.  Their pressure defense yielded immediate turnovers and they began to capitalize on fast breaks.  Anna’s new-found confidence on offense helped to lead the comeback.  After one and a half minutes of play, the Falcons took their first lead of the game, 10-9.  From this point, there was no turning back.  Love contributed six points, Anna added an impressive ten more in this half, and Claire finished with two.  Jenna and Kimmie dominated under the hoop, leading the team in rebounds.  As Berkshire grew frustrated with the defensive stance of IMS, Kate displayed quick feet as she set traps and pressured the ball at every opportunity.

Berkshire finished the game with a last second shot, closing the lead to three.  With no time left on the clock, IMS finished the game with an exciting rally, 21-18.
