On Monday, October 11 the Upper Campus Beautification Committee students planted bulbs in the Front Circle and around campus. These bulbs will enhance the natural beauty of the Upper Campus here at IMS once spring arrives.  The students of this committee are dedicated to the ongoing improvement of the IMS community and surroundings throughout the year.

A special thank you to, Mrs. Calder and White Flower Farm for their kindness and generosity in the donation of these bulbs.

Additionally, the IMS community has seen considerable success in their community service and fundraising to start the school year. Thus far, there have been three major events for which students and faculty have generously contributed time, effort, and money to help others in need.

The Crop Walk on 9/26, where the IMS community walked to raise funds to help with local and world hunger, generated a grand total of $906.37. The highest individual collectors were:

                        The Bliss family = $200

                        Kimmie Maturine = $77

                        Erika Knapp – $75

Denim Day, was recently held on Friday, 10/8 to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, raised a total of $779.44 to help in the fight against breast cancer.
