The junior varsity baseball team lost it first game of the season to a more experienced Cornwall Consolidated team on Friday.  Following a promising first inning, IMS allowed over ten unanswered runs to Cornwall.  The Falcons committed a number of errors that extended each inning and allowed Cornwall to take a signifiant lead by the end of the third inning.  Despite the loss, the young Falcon players enjoyed getting game experience and look forward to their next opportunity to compete on Wednesday when they take on Rumsey at Indian Mountain.

Gerard had an outstanding game for the Falcons. He started on the mound, gave up only one earned run in three innings, and was responsible for all of the defensive outs in the last two innings.  Gerard also reached base four times, on four walks, and scored one of Indian Mountain’s two runs.
