The Falcons came out strong in the game against Renbrook on Wednesday, scoring the first point of the game.  All the IMS players, including Maggie M. who scored the goal, were thrilled.  Although the Falcons continued to play a fairly strong game, multiple mistakes started to add up as the game progressed.  The girls lost a lot of possessions on ground balls and turnovers which turned into goals for Renbrook.  Although Katherine did a great job as the new IMS goalkeeper, making 2 key saves, by the end of the first half the falcons were down 9-2.

During the half time, the girls took the time to reflect on the positives and the negatives of the first half.  With renewed determination the team took the field for the second part of the game.  Katherine ended the game with 4 saves total, Maggie M. led the scoring with 4 goals, while Yu Jin, Annie, and Andrea all added 1 goal each.  Unfortunately, the Falcons new determination was not staunch enough to secure the victory, and, by the final whistle, Renbrook had a 16-7 lead.

The JV girls lacrosse team next face Ethel Walker at IMS on Friday, May 16..  First draw is at 4:30 on the lower field.
