The junior varsity girls lacrosse team started strong in their game on Wednesday as they scored an early goal to take a lead they would not give up against Berkshire Country Day School.  The girls spent much of the game trying to lock down the passing skills they’ve been working to improve in practice, and they did a nice job hustling after any loose balls they failed to catch.  Kesi scored two Falcon goals, while Maddi, June, and Morgan each contributed one.  Skye, Lulu, and Elle were strong players at center and combined to win 8 draw controls during the game.  Finya had another good game in goal, finishing the game with four saves after working to stay between the goal and the opponent while still being aware of the ball.  The Falcons had 28 successful ground ball controls with Jinny, June, and Lizzie being the top players in this area.  By working hard to improve passing, the IMS team was able to maintain ball control for most of the game, which also kept the score low.  It was a great win!

The girls play their next game against Rudolf Steiner at Indian Mountain on Friday, May 13.
