On Friday, the Indian Mountain junior varsity tennis team played Dutchess Day School at home. It was the Falcons’ first match on their home courts, and the team was extremely well prepared. IMS started their #4 against the Dutchess Day #1, and the Falcons shifted their to evenly match the inexperienced Dutchess Day players respectively down the line.  The Indian Mountain roster shift provided for a more evenly matched set of players, and DDS left feeling as though they were well met.  Another positive result of the roster shift was that every IMS player has now enjoyed the opportunity to play in an active match against an IMS opponent.

Skye had the only match that went to a tie breaker, while Kyler and Min Chan dominated their matches for victories.  Ken played hard against the DDS #1, but he ended up losing his match  6-2.  Indian Mountain won all three doubles matches.  The overall score was 6-1 in favor of IMS. The JV team remains undefeated and have been wonderful representatives of for IMS.

JV tennis plays their next matches on Wednesday, May 5, against Washington Montesorri School.
