For the last 35 years the Grumbling Gryphons have been traveling the country and abroad to present stories and myths to children of all ages. The Lower School got to participate in and watch the story of “Trickster Coyote” and how he brought fire to the Plains Indians.

Each grade spent part of the morning in workshops with the Grumbling Gryphons to learn their parts for the afternoon performance. Students learned why coyotes have white at the end of their tales, why tadpoles lose their tales when they turn into frogs, and why chipmunks have three stripes down their backs, according to legend.
