The IMS varsity girls’ basketball players displayed splendid teamwork in a victory in which every player contributed.  Kimmie led all scorers during the evenings battle with 13 points.  Lulu just trailed her as she scored 12 points, two of which were earned in impressive fashion as she went coast-to-coast after grabbing a rebound for a layup.  Janessa brought outstanding energy and zip to the flow of the game when she took over point guard duties during the second half.

Great defense ruled the day.  The Falcons held Ethel Walker scoreless until 9:48 in the second half by commanding the paint, controlling the defensive boards, and harassing the other teams guards as they crossed half court.  Lila, Shirelle, Nina, and Mia each had important steals that led to points off fast breaks. It was a dominant defensive performance.

The Falcons play their next game against Miss Hall’s School on Wednesday, February 16.  Go Indian Mountain!
