The seventh grade ropes course program, which runs in early April, is part of our comprehensive Indian Mountain’s Adventure Education Program. Starting the program on Saturday, seventh grade students enjoy field initiatives and team-building exercises that test their communication and problem-solving skills. Even when our northwest Connecticut weather turns from sun to rain to sleet to snow and back, students work cooperatively on low ropes elements and group morale remains high. The program culminates on Thursday with smiles and high ropes. The kids test their personal limits and their group dynamics as they work through the course both here at IMS and at Berkshire School. Faculty are always impressed with the effort and congratulate students for their bravery and determination!
