On November 5-7, the sixth grade spent three days and two nights at Mystic Seaport. The trip is designed to tie into their curriculum and also provides them with the opportunity to spend time bonding as a class at the start of the year. The students and their teachers sleep aboard the Joseph Conrad, which is dry-docked at the Seaport. They spend their time in various activities around the Seaport doing hands-on activities like making lanyards and rope and learning about the whaling industry. Great fun is had by all, and it is truly a memorable few days.
