The squash team is on fire!

Despite missing two of the varsity players, the team rallied and was victorious in five of seven scoring matches against Millbrook on Friday.  The team earned the victory for the varsity match despite losing the overall match 5-7.  All matches were played as best of three.

Will, Greg, Joseph, and Min Chan came out strong and won their matches in two straight.  Jack came back after going down early in his match and won decisively in the third.  The Falcons played smart matches and adjusted their games for the long narrow courts by playing deep rails followed by short shots or boasts allowing them to control the “T”. Avian, Jack P., Issey, and Yu Jin played their best, but lost their matches.  Their great efforts did not go unnoticed by their coaches.  Although Don and Gerard lost their matches as well, it wasn’t without a tremendous fight.  They each lost their games by only two or three points.

The coaches would again like to thank all the parents who arrived to support the team. The Falcons play their next match against Trinity Pawling on Wednesday, January 27.
