Each summer it is a common occurrence for a small group of Indian Mountain students and faculty to work for and attend the The Wolfeboro Summer Boarding School in New Hampshire. This summer was no different, as Ms. McAfee and two of our boarding students made the trip.

Gerald Bellamy, a rising seventh grade boarder at IMS, had a particularly exciting summer at Wolfeboro. Early on, Gerald was recognized as a “Reader of the Week” among a group of several other students. His biggest achievement, however, came when he received ”The Wolfeboro Award,” which is voted on by Wolfeboro’s staff and faculty and is only given to a small group of students. Receiving their highest award clearly left Gerald shocked, but Ms. McAfee was there to help him celebrate!
